As per reports in Italy, Jadon Sancho is closing in to securing a move to Juventus from Manchester United, who are looking to sign Douglas Luiz from the Old Lady.
As per today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, the England international is now only thinking about moving to the Bianconeri in the summer transfer window.
News – Report – Man Utd set to formalize bid to sign £6million star
The Rome based media outlet have mentioned that the former Dortmund attacker currently earns 10 million euros net at Old Trafford and has requested a salary of at least 8 million euros a season in Italy.
However, Juve have a salary cap and do not want to go beyond 6 million euros a year. It is stated that eventually a deal can be closed for 6.5 million plus bonuses.
As far as the fee is concerned, the Serie A giants have offered a figure of 25 million euros, in installments over ‘several years’, plus bonuses.
Man Utd are tempted by the offer but are not completely satisfied. However, they will not allow the move to break down over simple terms and the deal is progressing towards completion.
At the other end, Juventus want to offload Douglas Luiz and Man Utd will ‘welcome’ his signing. An exchange is being considered but the PL side are pushing to cash in on Sancho first.
The Brazilian international, who excelled in the Premier League at Aston Villa, flopped in Italy and Juve want to sell him for £30million (35 million euros).
Apart from Manchester United, he is also liked by Newcastle United, Everton and Fulham and it must be remembered that the Magpies can offer him Champions League football next season.
So, ideally a swap with Sancho should be considered if Amorim really wants to add Luiz to his midfield for the 2025-26 campaign.
