Report – Man Utd consider swap transfers of two £40million-rated stars

Chelsea Nicolas Jackson

Manchester United have managed to secure a major exit this summer with Marcus Rashford joining Barcelona this summer on a loan deal, with the Spanish club set to cover 100% of the player’s wages for the course of the season.

Even as the club continue to focus on making reinforcements this season, one opportunity that the club could explore is making swap deals. However, such a transfer is only possible if both clubs are interested in each other’s players.

However, such a transfer is only possible if both clubs are interested in each other’s players.

It looks like Man Utd and Chelsea could do something like that this summer. Now, as per The Mirror (news image below) the Manchester-based club and the London-based club are considering a swap deal that would see Alejandro Garnacho wear blue and Nicolas Jackson wear Red.

The perfect swap deal

Garnacho’s future at Manchester United is all but over, with the player left out of the US pre-season tour.

Nicolas Jackson, on the other hand, is expected to be available to leave Chelsea, should the right kind of offer arrive.

The arrival of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro has pushed the Senegalese striker down the pecking order and he might want to move elsewhere to be the first-choice striker there.

As per The Mirror, both players are valued to be at £40million this summer, which would make this a very even swap should the two clubs pull this off.

Manchester United desperately need a new number nine this summer, and to get Jackson for effectively free by giving a player they don’t want could be a genius decision.

Despite the Senegalese number nine not being the best option out there, it is too good a deal to resist.

Meanwhile, for Garnacho, his career at Man Utd has hit an unexpected roadblock. When he was breaking into the first-team, he was expected to be a future star in the making but the past season has seen his stocks nosedive.

A fresh start away from Old Trafford for Garnacho and away from Stamford Bridge for Jackson could be the best decision for both players.

Let’s wait and see how things play out on this transfer’s front in the coming weeks.
