Following Luke Shaw’s persistent injury problems and Tyrell Malacia’s difficulties in showcasing his best after returning from a serious knee issue, Manchester United have prioritised signing a new LWB in this winter window.
Lecce star Patrick Dorgu has emerged as their primary target after being linked with numerous other names over the last few weeks.

They have already seen two official proposals worth more than £25m rejected by the Italian side for the defender.
Now, the Daily Mail say that Man Utd are advancing to get the deal done and have held positive talks with Lecce to seal the move for a fee of around £30m including bonuses. They are expected to hold further talks over this deal.
However, Italian outlet, Corriere del Mezzogiorno, claim that Lecce don’t want to let Dorgu leave for anything less than £34m[€40m] and United need to raise funds by selling Alejandro Garnacho to seal this deal.
Man Utd want around €60m for the South American but they will have to lower their valuation to find a suitor for him with Napoli and Chelsea reportedly interested in him.
Meanwhile, another Italian outlet, Solo Lecce, state that Dorgu’s parents are pushing negotiations to make the player’s move to Old Trafford happen before next week’s transfer deadline.
The 20-year-old is a versatile player as he is comfortable in the left-back position as well as the LWB role. Moreover, he can provide cover in the RW position if needed.
After showcasing his qualities in Serie A, he got the call-up to make his international debut for Denmark last September before establishing himself as a key player for his country.
In 21 Serie A appearances, Dorgu has made four goal contributions and kept three clean-sheets thus far this season.
In your view, can Dorgu resolve Man Utd’s LWB problem if he were to join?
