When INEOS bought the minority stake at Manchester United and took over the football side of the proceedings, optimism was high and it was thought that they would be able to help bring back the glory days.
However, the start has been disappointing under Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s leadership. Man Utd finished eighth in the Premier League last term – which was the worst finish in the club’s history.

Now, they have had an even poorer first half of this season, sitting 14th in the Premier League table, only seven points above the relegation zone. Even after buying five players in the summer, they are in need of reinforcements.
Now, Caught Offside report that Man Utd will look to hire a new forward this year to turn the situation around and Wolves striker, Matheus Cunha, is on Ruben Amorim’s wish-list.
The Red Devils hold a long-term interest in him as they expressed their interest in signing the Brazilian last summer and the West Midlands club wanted around £60m for him.
Therefore, having failed to secure his service last summer, United are planning to finally purchase him this year.
However, they aren’t alone in this race as Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Napoli, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and AC Milan are all keen on purchasing him after being impressed by his recent eye-catching performances.
Cunha has been in excellent form this season, although Wolves have been in relegation scrap, scoring 10 goals and notching up four assists in 19 Premier League appearances.
The Brazilian forward also showcased his goal-scoring prowess in the English top-flight last term, making 19 goal contributions in 32 league games.
The 25-year-old South American is a Premier League proven star and is currently at the right stage of his career to take the next step. Hence, Cunha would be a top signing for Man Utd if they lure him. What do you think?
